Headaches are aggravating, and they might be impossible to prevent at times. Headaches usually arise when we are under stress. If the discomfort continues, we may faint out.
A headache is a disorder that causes mild to severe discomfort in the head. It might also target our high back or neck. There are several forms of headaches, but most are caused by stress, prolonged computer use, noise, and other factors.
Stress in the muscles of the neck, scalp, and jaw is one of the most common causes of headache. To relieve our discomfort, we normally sleep or take aspirin. Can we, however, do this anywhere?
We obviously can’t sleep in the office or the mall. Furthermore, when a headache strikes, we may run out of aspirin.
Don’t be concerned! Massage is the simplest and most accessible approach to treating headaches. Massage is the application of pressure or vibration to the body’s soft tissues in order to heal damage, reduce psychological trauma, manage pain, increase circulation, and relieve tension.
When we have a headache, we can help ourselves by massaging ourselves. It’s simple, and anyone can do it, whether at work or at home.
The following are the four easy ways to heal headaches through massage
1. Close your eyes and massage the area around them. Place your index fingers over your cheekbones to your eyes. For 1 minute, softly yet forcefully massage that region in a circular manner.
2. Eye to Nose Massage – Run your thumb over the underside of your eyelids. Feel for a place where this bones joins the bridge of your eyes and nose, and look for a slight depression. Press your fingers into the spots with little pressure. You may repeat it 4 times by keeping and pressing that region for ten seconds each time.
3. Neck Massage — Massage a spot on your neck where you can feel it by sliding your middle fingers to the back of the head and feeling the base of your skull. Particularly at the junction of your neck and the bottom of your skull. Massage gently for a minute with your fingertips in a circular motion
4. Scalp Massage – Massage gently your skull on the top of your skull with your palms for a minute.
After you’ve completed all of the massages, take a big breath. Raise your shoulder toward the ears for five to ten seconds to relieve any leftover discomfort, then return them to their natural posture.
You will feel better when you can accomplish it a couple of times. Your massage will relieve your headache and make your head feel lighter.
